The church has been given a mission by Jesus: "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:19-20). 

To do this, we follow a strategy we simply call 2-4-6-gr8!

We have 2 MANDATES:

1. Love God

2. Love Others

In Mark 12:30-31, Jesus said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." In all we do, we live to the best of our ability to both love God and to love others.

We carry out our mandate through 4 MEANS

These are as basic as our A, B, Cs: Authentic Biblical Community that makes Disciples. We "strive for the New Testament pattern" at Ledbetter Church. What does that look like? Acts 2:42-47 gives us the first glimpse of the church: "And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved." We are a community that not only seeks to be disciples of Jesus, but also to make new disciples.

We work with 6 MISSIONS PARTNERS

Because Jesus said to go into all the world, we realize that we need to partner with others in the Kingdom to do this and we have joined hands with six specific agencies to align with the model given in Acts 1:8. There, Jesus said, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." We have two partners in each of these areas:

• JERUSALEM, our local outreach: Hope Rising and Kids Hope at (Cox Elementary)
• JUDEA and SAMARIA, our state and national outreach: Rachel McClellan (Cru at the University of Cincinnati) and Pass Creek Mission - Allen, SD (Tim and Kim Wardell)
• The ENDS OF THE EARTH, our global outreach: Prayer Plan Missions (Honduras) and Pink Door (Germany)

While these are not the only agencies we work with, these 6 are our partners in making disciples, from Xenia to the furthermost ends of the earth.
